PRIVACY NOTICE

Last updated: July 9, 2026

This Privacy Notice for Life Tracker ("Life Tracker", "we", "us", or "our") describes how and why we may access, collect, store, use, disclose, or otherwise process personal information when you use our mobile application, website, backend services, support tools, subscription features, AI features, route timeline, notifications, Apple Health integration, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

If you do not agree with this Privacy Notice, please do not use the Services. If you have questions or requests, contact us at help@lifetracker.app.

Health and medical disclaimer. Life Tracker is not a medical device, does not diagnose medical conditions, does not prescribe treatment, does not provide emergency monitoring, and does not replace a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional. Apple Health data and wellbeing notes are used only for personal analytics and personal reflection. Important decisions are made by you, and you should contact a medical professional for health concerns.

SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS

This summary provides the most important points from our Privacy Notice. More detail is available in the full sections below.

  • What do we collect? We process account data, notes, tasks, reminders, voice-derived text, photos, route data, selected Apple Health metrics, analytics output, purchase status, diagnostics, and support messages depending on what features you use.
  • Why do we use it? We use data to operate Life Tracker: build your timeline, structure voice notes, create reminders, show analytics, generate AI suggestions, record routes when enabled, process subscriptions, and provide support.
  • Do we use AI? Yes. AI may process your notes, tasks, events, and context to generate summaries and recommendations. AI may be wrong, so important generated information should be reviewed by you.
  • Do we use Apple Health? Only if you grant permission. Health data is used only for personal analytics, not for diagnosis, treatment, insurance, advertising, or emergency decisions.

  • How can you control data? You can edit or delete entries, disable optional features, revoke permissions in system settings, manage subscriptions through the App Store, and contact us for access, correction, or deletion requests.

1. Scope of this notice

Life Tracker is designed as a personal daily memory and planning tool. It helps you capture notes, events, tasks, reminders, habits, goals, photos, route context, and optional wellbeing signals in one private daily timeline. Some features work locally on your device, and some require our backend, AI infrastructure, authentication providers, map providers, App Store services, iCloud, Apple Health, or other platform services.

This notice applies to information processed through the Life Tracker mobile app, website, support channels, backend API, subscription features, and any other service that links to this notice.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

  • Account information: user ID, email address, display name, authentication provider, sign-in identifiers, subscription status, and app settings.
  • Daily memory content: notes, diary entries, thoughts, events, tasks, reminders, habits, goals, priorities, categories, deadlines, timestamps, repeated items, and free-form text you enter.
  • Voice input content: audio or recognized text when you choose to use microphone or speech recognition. Voice input is intended to transform speech into structured entries.
  • Photos and attachments: images, files, or metadata you choose to attach to notes, events, tasks, support messages, or daily blocks.
  • Support content: messages, screenshots, attachments, diagnostics, logs, and contact information you send to support.

Information generated by the app

  • Structured blocks: AI-created or manually created records such as tasks, reminders, events, focus blocks, categories, tags, and summaries.
  • Analytics output: scores, streaks, achievements, trends, summaries, weekly/monthly/yearly insights, confidence indicators, and recommendations.
  • Route analytics: distance, route points, detected stops, movement timeline, weak GPS states, and place labels when route tracking is enabled.
  • Technical diagnostics: app version, device type, operating system, locale, timezone, errors, crash events, performance events, and feature usage events.

Information from platform services

  • Apple Health: selected metrics you authorize, such as sleep, steps, activity, exercise minutes, heart-rate related metrics, blood oxygen or similar wellbeing metrics, depending on device support and your permissions.
  • Location services: coordinates, accuracy, timestamps, selected places, route points, and detected stops when you use map/place features or enable route tracking.
  • Purchases: App Store product identifiers, purchase status, plan status, renewal/expiration data, and restore status.
  • Authentication providers: information returned by Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In, depending on the method you choose.

3. Sensitive information

Some information you choose to store in Life Tracker may be considered sensitive in certain jurisdictions. This may include wellbeing notes, Apple Health metrics, location history, voice-derived text, photos, private diary entries, or information you write about your personal life. You control whether to provide this information and can disable optional features such as Apple Health, route tracking, photos, microphone, notifications, personal tips, or private mode.

We do not ask you to enter information about racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, union membership, genetic data, biometric identification, sexual orientation, or precise medical diagnosis. If you choose to write such information in notes, it will be treated as user-provided content and processed only to provide the Services.

4. How we use information

We use information to provide and improve Life Tracker, including to:

  • create, edit, display, sync, back up, restore, and delete your daily timeline and entries;
  • turn voice input into structured notes, tasks, reminders, diary entries, or events;
  • generate AI summaries, personal suggestions, weekly insights, and analytics;
  • help you plan the day, focus on important tasks, maintain habits, and review progress;
  • show route timeline, stops, distance, weak GPS states, and selected places when enabled;
  • use Apple Health metrics only as personal context for your own analytics;
  • schedule local reminders, focus timer alerts, and optional gentle daily prompts;
  • operate subscription plans, limits, purchase validation, and restore purchases;
  • provide customer support and troubleshoot problems;
  • detect abuse, secure accounts, prevent fraud, and maintain service reliability;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Depending on your location, we may rely on different legal bases to process information: performance of a contract, consent, legitimate interests, compliance with legal obligations, or protection of vital interests. Optional features such as Apple Health, microphone, speech recognition, photos, notifications, and location require your permission through the app or system settings.

You may withdraw consent by disabling a feature in Life Tracker, revoking permissions in iOS/Android settings, deleting related entries, or contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

6. AI processing

Life Tracker includes AI-assisted features that may structure voice notes, classify entries, summarize your day, suggest next steps, explain patterns, answer questions about your own records, or generate plan recommendations. To provide these features, Life Tracker may send relevant text, voice-derived text, tasks, events, notes, route context, Apple Health-derived context, and app state to our backend and AI infrastructure providers.

AI-generated output can be incomplete or incorrect. You should review generated dates, times, reminders, categories, tasks, and recommendations before relying on them. AI output is not a professional, medical, legal, financial, or emergency recommendation.

We design AI features to be contextual and useful, but the user remains in control. You can edit created blocks, delete entries, disable personal tips, avoid entering sensitive content, or use manual text entry instead of voice input.

7. Apple Health and wellbeing data

Apple Health access is optional and requires your permission in iOS. Life Tracker reads only the categories you authorize. Examples may include sleep, steps, exercise minutes, activity, heart-rate related metrics, blood oxygen, or similar metrics supported by your device and Health permissions.

Apple Health and wellbeing notes are used only for personal analytics, daily context, recovery/focus signals, and your own reflection. Life Tracker does not use Health data for medical diagnosis, treatment, emergency decisions, insurance decisions, employment decisions, credit decisions, targeted advertising, or sale to data brokers.

Life Tracker is not a medical device. It does not monitor emergencies, does not detect diseases, does not prescribe medication, does not replace a healthcare professional, and does not guarantee health outcomes. If you have symptoms or medical concerns, contact a qualified professional.

8. Location and background route tracking

Location features are optional. Life Tracker may use location while the app is open to show your current position on the map, let you choose a place for an entry, calculate distance, or save a selected place. If you manually enable route tracking and grant the required system permission, Life Tracker may collect location points in the background so your daily route, stops, distance, and visited places remain complete even when the app is not open.

Background route tracking is used to create your private route timeline and analytics. It is not used to sell location data, show targeted ads, or make automated decisions about you. You can turn route tracking off in app settings and revoke location permission in system settings at any time.

Location accuracy may vary due to GPS signal, device power settings, network conditions, building density, tunnels, public transport, or operating system restrictions. The app may show weak GPS states or incomplete routes when the device cannot provide reliable points.

9. Device permissions

Life Tracker asks for permissions only when needed for features you choose to use:

  • Microphone: to record voice input while you are using voice features.
  • Speech recognition: to convert spoken notes or events into text.
  • Camera: to attach a photo to an entry when you choose to take one.
  • Photo library: to attach selected images to entries or support messages.
  • Location while in use: to select places and show current map position.
  • Background location: to record route points only when route tracking is enabled.
  • Notifications: to deliver reminders, focus timer alerts, and optional daily prompts.
  • Apple Health: to read selected health metrics for personal analytics after permission.
  • iCloud: to support backups and restore where available and enabled.

10. Notifications

Life Tracker may send notifications for reminders, tasks, focus timers, support replies, subscription state, route recording status, and optional gentle daily prompts. Optional app prompts are designed to be non-intrusive and can be disabled in settings. You can also disable all notifications in system settings.

Notification content may contain the title or time of a task, reminder, focus session, or app suggestion. If you share your device or use lock-screen previews, review your system notification privacy settings.

11. Third-party services

Life Tracker may use third-party services to operate core features, including:

  • Apple services: Sign in with Apple, Apple Health, iCloud, App Store purchases, local notifications, and iOS permission systems.
  • Google services: Google Sign-In if you choose that authentication method.
  • AI infrastructure providers: services used to process notes, voice-derived text, summaries, recommendations, and assistant responses.
  • Map and geocoding providers: services such as MapTiler and OpenStreetMap-based data providers for maps and place lookup.
  • Analytics and diagnostics: services such as AppMetrica or platform crash/performance tools to understand reliability and feature performance.
  • Hosting, database, storage, backup, and support infrastructure: services used to host APIs, store data, process support messages, and keep the app working.

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us or to you, subject to their own terms and privacy practices. We do not authorize providers to sell your personal information.

12. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:

  • with service providers that host, process, analyze, store, secure, or support the Services;
  • with Apple or Google when you use their sign-in, purchase, Health, iCloud, or platform services;
  • with AI infrastructure providers to generate summaries, insights, or assistant responses;
  • with map/geocoding providers when you use map or place search features;
  • when you ask support to review a problem and send diagnostics, screenshots, or attachments;
  • when required by law, legal process, regulators, courts, or to protect rights, safety, and security;
  • as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to this notice.

13. Storage and retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Life Tracker, maintain your account, operate subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect the Services, and support backups or restore features.

Local app data remains on your device unless you sync, back up, send it to our backend, use AI features, or contact support with attachments/diagnostics. iCloud backups are controlled by your Apple ID and iCloud settings. Deleting local data may not automatically delete server, backup, support, billing, or platform records where retention is required or technically controlled by a third party.

You may request deletion by contacting us. We may retain certain records where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, accounting, dispute resolution, or legitimate business operations.

14. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. These may include access controls, transport security, infrastructure controls, backups, monitoring, and limiting access to data needed for support or operations.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device, Apple ID, Google account, passcode, and account credentials secure.

15. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to processing, or withdraw consent for certain personal information. You can exercise many controls directly in the app by editing or deleting entries, disabling optional features, changing permissions, or managing subscriptions through the App Store.

To submit a privacy request, email help@lifetracker.app. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. If you submit a request through an authorized agent, we may ask for proof of authorization.

16. United States privacy rights

If you are a resident of a US state with privacy laws, you may have additional rights, depending on the law that applies to you. These may include the right to know whether we process personal data, access personal data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, obtain a copy of data you provided, opt out of certain processing, and not be discriminated against for exercising privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information. We also do not knowingly sell or share personal information of children under 16. We do not use personal data for targeted advertising in Life Tracker. If this changes, we will update this notice and provide required controls.

17. Children

Life Tracker is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

18. Updates and contact

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. The updated version will be identified by the "Last updated" date above. If we make material changes, we may notify you in the app, by email, or by posting a prominent notice.

Questions, privacy requests, data deletion requests, or App Store review questions can be sent to: help@lifetracker.app.
